From restructuring, repositioning, and recapitalizing a $200 million next-generation healthcare network as president to leading, acquiring, and integrating ALL of the “below-the-line” business units in the Americas for the Publicis Groupe (the world’s third-largest advertising network) to counseling Fortune 500 CEOs and heads of state on their most pressing business, technological, and reputational challenges, few executives have covered as many different vertical industries as Jim Tsokanos has.
Most recently, Jim Tsokanos served as president for Coordinated Health (CH), one of the nation’s leading surgical specialty hospital networks. For nearly four years, he oversaw more than 100 physicians and 1,200 team members across 17 locations in eastern PA and western NJ. Jim Tsokanos helped establish the company’s value proposition of 1) unmatched access (time/geographic), 2) quality (recognized by CMS with a 5-Star Rating, among top 6% in the nation), 3) patient experience (received top awards from Consumer Reports, The Joint Commission, etc.) and 4) value (lowest cost and innovation in value-based pricing).
Jim Tsokanos played a dynamic role in repositioning Coordinated Health from a fee-for-service hospital network to a continuum of care/value-based model. In just 24-months, he rebranded the company (including an award-winning, multimillion dollar integrated campaign); refinanced $100 million in debt; designed, developed, and constructed four new campuses; and introduced numerous innovations, including employer-managed healthcare, direct contracting (CRM of top customers) with employers, and mobile access for patients.
Currently, Jim Tsokanos is the CEO and founder of New York City-based, Nu Nexus. Founded in 2013, Nu Nexus business is focused on three key areas:
1) Nu Nexus Partners, a consultancy that leverages a deep, vast, and global network of experts, relationships, technologists, research/big data, storytellers, and resources for capital to solve clients’ most important business and reputational needs. Current and past clients include the Hellenic Republic of Greece, the Republic of Cyprus, Ansell, and Coordinated Health.
2) Nu Nexus Technology, a company that identifies, develops, and disrupts industries utilizing new technologies, processes, and platforms. Nu Nexus Technology is making major investments in block chain technology and developing new products in the healthcare, financial, media, and marketing space.
3) Nu Nexus Capital, an organization dedicated to identifying and helping small and mid-sized companies disrupt markets and grow faster through access to capital (angel, venture, private equity, and commercial banking), technology, marketing, and talent.
Earlier in his career, Jim Tsokanos served as president of the Americas for Publicis Groupe, the third-largest marketing and digital transformation network in the world. He belonged to the P-Top, which acknowledges the top 1 percent of employees, while working for the MSLGROUP brand, which he helped develop into a leader of creative marketing services in the United States. Jim Tsokanos also formerly worked for Ketchum (an Omnicom company) as the head of the global sports marketing practice While there, he managed some of the largest sporting events in the world, such as the 2000 Atlanta Super Bowl and the BMW Olympic Torch Relay.
